The Art of Hosting is a highly effective way of harnessing the collective wisdom and self-organizing capacity of groups.

Art of Hosting operates as a global community of practitioners using integral participative change processes, methods, maps, and planning tools to engage groups and teams in meaningful conversations, deliberate collaboration and group-supported action.

Art of Hosting Bulgaria

Art of Hosting was started in Bulgaria in the beginning of 2013 by a group of young enthusiasts with the organization of the first Art of Hosting event in Bulgaria. It was called “The Art of Participatory Leadership” and gathered 60 people on a conversation around the question “How to focus our personal energies to move forward in a common direction?”

Since then, the Art of Hosting community in Bulgaria proceeded its activity by monthly meetings in order to practice the methods and the philosophy of the global network. This led to several outcomes:

• “Teacher for Change” - a set of workshops organized in partnership with Teach for Bulgaria and AIESEC. These events gathered people with different backgrounds around the topic of education by practicing the Art of Hosting methods. 8 more events are to happen in March - April 2014.
• #позитивно - a facebook group (the name means “positive”) that holds a space for positive discussions and ideas-sharing. It provides people with the opportunity to participate in an entirely positive environment where to share knowledge and information about initiatives on how to live a better life in Bulgaria.
• “My dream about Bulgaria is…” - an event that aimed to gather the positive energy of a large group of people, showing what Bulgarians dream about in a period of protests against the government.
• Systems Thinking Club - а self-learning group of individuals that aim to go deeper in the discipline of systems thinking, system dynamics and transformational change.
• Many people from the Art of Hosting community in Bulgaria managed to apply the Art of Hosting methods in their work - in trainings, meetings, plannings.
